Lizzo Celebrates “About Damn Time” Reaching #1 On The Billboard Hot 100
2022 has been Lizzo’s year, as the release of her newest album, Special, reached #2 on Billboards 200 Debut. Along with her musical accomplishments, Lizzo’s reality show, Lizzo’s Watch Out For The Big Grrrls, on Amazon Prime is a #1 hit and is nominated for six Emmy Awards. She also launched her shapewear line, YITTY, this year in collaboration with Fabletics.
On top of all this, it looks like Lizzo has one more accomplishment to add to her list as she celebrates “About Damn Time” reaching #1 on the Billboard Hot 100. This is her second track that’s hit #1 on the Billboard Hot 100 after “Truth Hurts” in 2019, and Lizzo celebrated in her latest Instagram post:
It’s no surprise, with the track’s fun funky beat and its lyrics that are sure to pump anyone up who is feeling down. “About Damn Time” is a song of celebration and is a great anthem for anyone who has been feeling down and is finally coming out on the other side.

Those wanting to hear “About Damn Time” live will have the chance, as Lizzo’s The Special Tour starts September 23rd in Sunrise, Fl, and ends November 19th in Los Angeles, CA. Her fall tour will have Latto and Saucy Santana as her supporting acts. Three new dates have also been added to the tour list, so for those who haven’t gotten tickets yet, there are more opportunities to see her live! These new dates include shows at Madison Square Garden (October 3rd), The Moda Center in Portland, OR (November 10th), and The Kia Forum in Los Angeles, CA (November 19th).
