2023 has proved to be the year of successful tours. Critically-acclaimed, multi-platinum selling band Young The Giant is currently on a North American tour with supporting artist Milky Chance.
The tour kicked off in Montreal on May 30 and it is set to conclude on Aug. 31 in Dillon, Colorado. Additional dates can be seen down below. In addition to Milky Chance, musicians TALK and Rosa Linn are set to make a supporting appearance.
The band’s tour is in support of their most recent LP American Bollywood, released this past fall. It also serves as their first release in four years so it makes sense that fans were excited when it dropped. American Bollywood is a four-part album and it tells the story of a multi-generational immigrant family and their origin and identity challenges. The lyrics were mostly written by lead singer Sameer Gadhia, who happens to be the son of Indian immigrants, making the content more relatable to the immigrant community.

The single “The Walk Home” is being met with praise from alternative radio stations as well.
Uniqueness and a personalized experience have been kept in mind when planning the tour. For one, the band has partnered with sustainability organization REVERB to reduce the tour’s environmental footprint as well as inform fans on issues and to promote a greener world. In addition, the VIP packages provide a much enhanced experience with the inclusion of a private pre-show performance and Q&A with the band, premium tickets, an exclusive poster signed by the band, early venue entry and merchandise shopping.
Aside from the music, the band (particularly Gadhia) have been involved with the promotion of diversity within the industry. In 2020, Gadhia launched the radio program Point of Origin on SIRIUSXM’s Alt Nation, where he gives a platform to voices of color by dedicating a certain musician each month and giving them a thorough introduction.
