The Garden Drop Latest Single From Horses**t On Route 66, “Chainsaw The Door”

Following the release of “Orange County Punk Legend” and “Freight Yard” from their upcoming album, Horseshit On Route 66, The Garden dropped another single, “Chainsaw The Door.” Alongside the band’s signature heavy drum and guitar sound, the single features heavy bass, and even some cowbell. Compared to “Orange County Punk Rock Legend” and “Freight Yard,” “Chainsaw The Door” has a sound typical of The Garden’s style but incorporates some electronic elements and synth.

Listen to “Chainsaw The Door” below:

The duo shares the meaning behind their newest single, stating that:

“If life presents you with a closed door, then you chainsaw through it. It might take a while but it’s quicker than using an axe on it. Once you get through the door there will be more obstacles, but at least you knocked it down.”

Lyrically, this sentiment is apparent especially in the chorus as they repeat, “When I see that closed door/ I’m gonna chainsaw through,” followed by, “The only question now is what’s on the other side/ On the other side, on the other side.” A few other notable lyrics from “Chainsaw The Door” include, “A dogbone memory/ It’s got you trapped for a century/ A puddle that’s deeper than you thought/ Your foot sinks down way underground/ Maybe that door wasn’t what it’s supposed to be.” Through its catchy lyrics and melody, “Chainsaw The Door” is another track that fans can put on repeat in anticipation of Horeshit on Route 66.

After releasing Horseshit On Route 66, The Garden will tour this fall, starting October 2nd at the Brooklyn Steel in Brooklyn, New York, and ending November 30th at the Regency Ballroom in San Francisco, California. For more information about the tour and to get tickets, visit The Garden’s Official Website. The band will also perform at the When We Were Young Festival around the end of October alongside bands such as Paramore, Jimmy Eat World, and My Chemical Romance.
