The Garden Drop Their New Single, “Freight Yard” And Announce Fall 2022 Tour

Experimental rock band, The Garden, released their new single “Freight Yard,” and announced their major U.S. tour this fall. The Southern California band, composed of twin brothers Wyatt and Fletcher Shears, is known for their fast paced, and punk-influenced sound. The band typically uses only guitar and drums in their songs, which is also the case in “Freight Yard.” The track reflects this punk influence more than previous tracks, especially with the drums at the forefront of the song, while the vocals are more in the background.

Listen to “Freight Yard” below:

When discussing “Freight Yard,” Wyatt Shears says that,

“Freight Yard is a song that is very near and dear to our hearts. Feel free to play it for your grandma and grandpa , and if you don’t have those then you can listen to it very quietly with no one else around. I wrote this song while laying down at a freight yard a couple weeks ago. I would’ve stayed there longer, but I saw semi truck headlights approaching so I had to get out of there.”

Fans of “Freight Yard” and The Garden can also see them live this fall. Their tour starts October 2nd in Brooklyn NY at Brooklyn Steel, and ends November 29 in San Francisco, CA at Regency Ballroom. The Garden will also be performing this Saturday, June 25th at Viva! LA Festival in Los Angeles, CA.
