For only his second released single “Awe Within” demonstrates the smooth songwriting, instrumentalism and poetic lyricism Sunlight Sleeping is capable of, and I am very excited to hear more from this new artist. A beautiful group of harmonies and sweet guitar melodies immediately pull you into this track, as a strong kick drum joins in at the first verse, feeling like a build up of butterflies in the stomach as your heart becomes more and more full. “Awe Within” is on the softer side of indie-alt-rock, vocals reminiscent of Marcus Mumford, and presents imagery of being in love within the magic of nature.
