DJ Duo PiCKUPLiNES Helps Make The Perfect Party With House Music And Chill Vibes

Coming to a PiCKUPLiNES show is a guaranteed good time – “the only ‘pick up line’ you need,” according to the DJ duo.
PiCKUPLiNES found massive success among fans with its debut single “Chill Like That,” a collaboration with Sunday Scaries. The song rhythmically flows with a deep bassline and synthesized riffs, just what people want to bump to on the dance floor. It’s racked up more than 35 million Spotify streams alone — a sign of PiCKUPLiNES’ powerful potential.
Didn’t know you could hang like that
Sipping on champagne like that
Turn up, get ill like that
Didn’t know you were chill like that

I feel like being “chill like that” is more like a mindset. We’re always laidback and cool & never take the small things seriously. But on stage of course, we like to try and give the people that came out the best night … I’m a firm believer in the energy always starts with the people performing and that carries over to the crowd.

The DJ duo, composed of Bradeazy and Sam Hutchinson, first met through a mutual friend. The trio took a weekend trip, then “had a crazy few days” before deciding to “risk everything and move to L.A. all together soon after.”
Brad and Sam both started off on TikTok, posting comedy skits and college lifestyle content. Young adults love them: They’ve amassed 3.8 and 1.4 million followers, respectively. But the platform was just a springboard into something bigger.
Creating TikToks was never the end goal, but it was a way to get out of our s***ty jobs and actually start working towards something that we wanted to do in life that we enjoyed. We studied the algorithm and posted every day for years, which helped us get to where we are today and gave us the opportunity to pivot.

Blasting house music throughout the dorms and being the “aux cord guys” in college, PiCKUPLiNES was drawn to the house genre for “the energy and vibe it gives off.” Now, Brad and Sam mix music and take over college campuses across America. With their series “Move In Days,” the two say they’re searching for the best party school in America. The episodes are designed to give fans a behind-the-scenes look into their personality and artistic processes in these vlog-style videos, PiCKUPLiNES said.
PiCKUPLiNES’ electrifying energy fills the stage at each event. The perfect party, Brad and Sam said, is when everyone is there for one reason: “to have a good time.”
Our favorite shows we play are always the ones when the crowd gets involved, jumping and dancing to every song we play. When the crowd is hype, it makes us more hype, which in turn, makes the crowd more hype, and it’s just back and forth all night.

Though they’re massively popular at colleges, ranging from the University of Alabama to the University of Colorado Boulder (which PiCKUPLiNES said is standing out among the best), it’s also venturing into larger performances.
PiCKUPLiNES played live at a music festival for the first time at October’s Goldrush Music Festival in Phoenix, Arizona. But more is on the horizon for these DJs who constantly have music in the works and gigs lining up.
Right now we’re working on a lot of great music. That is our #1 focus is just releasing. We have a couple unreleased songs right now that I am very confident in, and I can’t wait for everyone to hear them. This is definitely the beginning, and we have no plan B, so we’re all in and I couldn’t be more excited for the future.
