#NMF Dance: Our Picks For The Week
NMF Dance brings new music from Crewcutz, Kryptogram, and more!
1. GENESI, Xoro – “Cheat Code” ft. Aya Anne and Mither
GENESI and Xoro team up on “Cheat Code,” a heavy-duty melodic house and techno single. Featuring Aya Anne and Mither, the single pairs a sharp vocal duet with GENESI’s underground edge and Xoro’s dark, crossover-ready club sound. Beneath the traded hooks, pitch-sliding synths, clanking percussion, beefy low-end, and ticking tones push the tension higher, turning “Cheat Code” into a sleek, hypnotic club weapon.
2. SLANDER, Spiritbox, Vastive – “Under My Skin”
SLANDER, Spiritbox, and Vastive collide on “Under My Skin,” a rock-fueled dubstep anthem. Bringing together SLANDER’s cinematic melodic bass, Spiritbox’s progressive metal force, and Vastive’s heavy dubstep edge, the track feels massive from the start. Led by Courtney LaPlante’s haunting vocals, acoustic tension, thrashing guitars, and brutal tearout drops, “Under My Skin” builds like an epic battle cry made for both mosh pits and festival rails.
3. Crewcutz – “Late Night Moves”
Brazilian duo Crewcutz return with Late Night Moves, a three-track EP that shows the range behind their minimal and deep tech sound. Led by the title track “Late Night Move,” the project moves through crisp drums, acid-leaning textures, prominent plucks, and full-bodied basslines. With chopped vocal loops and misty reverb, the track creates a foggy afterhours spell, pulling listeners into a dancefloor built for free movement and late-night release.
4. Cristoph & Fahlberg – “Set Your Mind”
Cristoph and Fahlberg join forces on “Set Your Mind,” a vocal-led progressive house release. Bringing together Cristoph’s refined underground edge and Fahlberg’s lush melodic touch, the track moves through euphoric melancholia with cinematic weight. Built on a raw vocal refrain, lofty arpeggiations, warm synth swells, sturdy kicks, and slinky basslines. “Set Your Mind” becomes a slow-burning lesson in tension, release, and emotional movement.
5. kryptogram – “Talk Different”
Kryptogram makes his Nu Moda debut with “Talk Different,” a weighty indie dance single that reveals a darker, more club-focused side of his neohouse sound. Blending classic house, jazz, funk, UK garage, indie, and deep house influences, the single moves with a sharp peak-time bounce. Established on gritty sawtooth leads, hefty low-end plucks, crisp drums, Portuguese hooks, and English soundsystem samples, the debut single feels sleek, playful, and ready for the dancefloor.
