Electronic artist OPIUO and the Colorado Symphony, also known as the Opulent Orchestra, are set to grace the stage at the iconic Red Rocks Amphitheatre on May 11th, 2025. Following their acclaimed collaboration in 2023, this event’s return promises an even more exhilarating atmosphere under the enchanting title, “Echoes of Light.”

Since its premiere concert in 1906, Red Rocks’ natural beauty and unparalleled acoustics make it a bucket-list venue for millions of music enthusiasts. OPIUO and his stellar lineup will both honor Red Rocks and contribute to its legacy of exemplary shows.

This genre-defying performance will immerse attendees in the instinctive beats of EDM and the timeless elegance of classical music, creating a harmonious sensory experience. With futuristic visuals and memorable musical arrangements, this show is bound to leave a lasting impression. Local talents like Detox Unit, Resonant Language, Duffrey, and Motifv will add their distinctive flair to the stage.

OPIUO’s performance marks a new chapter in his journey of musical exploration, following legendary acts like Wu-Tang Clan, The Flaming Lips, RZA, and Method Man, who have all previously incorporated live orchestras into their Red Rocks performances. Known for his genre-blending approach, OPIUO creates a vibrant sonic tapestry that spans funk, soul, psychedelia, and bass music. Hailing from rural New Zealand, Oscar found various ways to immerse himself in the electronic music scene.

From Lollapalooza, Glastonbury, and Coachella to multiple sold-out shows at Red Rocks Amphitheatre, OPIUO showcases a boundless ambition. With a master discography of albums, EPs, singles, and remixes, collaborating with symphonies and crafting immersive solo shows is his specialty. Overall, OPIUO has become a savant for genre-defying performances at one of the world’s most celebrated venues. As he continues to stretch his artistic limbs, he declares, “I’m just getting started!”

Likewise, Denver-based Detox Unit- aka Joseph Roberts- will bring his signature sound to the stage. Renowned for his intricate blend of bass, breakbeats, hip-hop, and dubstep, Detox Unit’s performances always captivate audiences. He has headlined major venues like the Mission Ballroom, transporting listeners into another dimension with his surreal audiovisual landscapes.

Moreover, Detox Unit stands as a cornerstone of the experimental bass music scene, pushing the boundaries of EDM. Between his roots in New York and his creative hive in Denver, he is known to collaborate with visual artists. These collaborations enhance his show’s sci-fi and retro-futuristic elements. Tracks like “Vibrate” and his LP Liminal reflect his progressive approach to bass music, making Detox Unit a true leader in the genre.

Joining him will be Resonant Language, who recently performed at the Of The Trees season-closing Red Rocks show, alongside the talented Duffrey and Motifv. Ultimately, their eclectic sounds promise an outstanding musical journey, making this one of the most anticipated shows of the early Red Rocks season.
