Madame Gandhi partners with Sarah Farina to remix her acclaimed and first single of the decade ‘See Me Thru’, the first of a remix series from her Visions EP. The Sarah Farina Remix places the song in a club context – moving between future bass and UK Garage tempos and feels. Repurposing Gandhi’s lyric “Love is the Truth” for a newly crafted hook, this remix expands the song to a wider audience who love dance.
The remix, is released today and to much anticipation – according to Jon Pareles at The New York Times who says, “A dreamily multilayered love song, the extended a cappella vocals over the video credits are an invitation to remix.” Farina’s remix is everything a progressive beat lover lives for when it comes to fresh samples and delectable bass. A producer based out of Berlin and fellow ally, Farina and Gandhi have a lot of overlap in their message and path to empower women and the queer community while supporting a cause through their music.
Recognised and revered by the best of her bass music contemporaries, Farina has connections to crews worldwide including Teklife, Hyperdub, Deep Medi, Buraka Som Sistema and Exit Records. Capable of holding her own in line-ups alongside artists as diverse as DJ Storm, Laurent Garnier, Om Unit, Kode9, François K and Lunice, her sets unite the dance-floor, equally impressive to industry insiders and those who just want to dance.
