Lubalin first rose to fame on TikTok in 2020, where he shared parody videos that amassed him over 3 million followers. Since then, he has been silent on social media, only sending cryptic updates on his website whereislubalin.net, until the premiere of “nobody else” on April 1st.

The music video for “nobody else” strays from Lubalin’s previous dark and moody productions, with saturated colors and interesting visuals. From Lublain’s hair becoming its own person, to it being shot vertically so that it’s easy to share on TikTok (a nod to his TikTok roots), “nobody else” demonstrates Lubalin’s passion in experimenting with the production of his music videos. 

The video, according to Lubalin, 

“It’s a machine gun of visual gags and mystery; a question mark, candy coated in dynamite. We were really inspired by Spielberg’s E.T. the Extra-Terrestrial. Both the chaotic energy of the film, but also how they managed to convey so much story and emotion with a puppet.”

Lubalin created the video with his TikTok audience in mind, including many meme worthy moments for his fans.
