The time has come, the EDM king has returned with new music. Yes, you guessed it right! David Guetta, the man who inspired the love for hard beats and admiration for DJ-ing in many of us has just released a new remix single. The French musician and producer has a special cameo role in Kavinsky’s new album Reborn. The track fittingly titled “Cameo” is something special because Kavinsky invited his personal heroes to remix the same song and put their individual twists on his song.

What an absolute boss move to make on your first album in nine years, you know it’s guaranteed to blow up when you have all the big names on your side: David Guetta, Dopplereffekt, Breakbot & Irfane, and Gaspard Augé(half of the group Justice)& Victor Le Masne.

The official video for “Cameo” (find it here) is directed by Filip Nilsson(Major Lazer, Justice, Röyksopp) and gives a refreshing twist on the practice of cinematic cameos.

Tried and tested: David Guetta’s version of “Cameo” is a classic dance banger made for clubs and summer festivals. Do you want to know how we know for sure? Well, the music producer and beat-drop king went ahead and sampled the track on the dance floor before releasing it. The crowd was going crazy and David knew he had another banger. But really are we even surprised? Everything that man touches turns into gold…or should we say platinum?

“I’m so happy to have remixed this huge track by my good friend Kavinsky. I’ve always loved his music and together we show that the French touch is magical! It’s such an influential sound in dance music, so working this remix was a joy to do. I played it in Vegas and the crowd reaction was amazing, so I’m excited for the whole world to hear it.”

Reborn is only Kavinsky’s second album after his 2013 full-length debut, Outrun. The LP included the now-iconic singles such as “Nightcall,” “Roadgame,” and “Odd Look.” “Nightcall” made Kavinsky an electro-pop legend and went on to gain more than 500 million streams worldwide.
