Lord of the Lost and Feuerschwanz brought together two of Germany’s most energetic musical worlds when they decided to collaborate on their single “Lords of Fyre.” Through blending each group’s hard hitting sounds with a charming level of camp that is not uncommon for a group like Feuerschwanz, the collaboration between these groups has not only led to a standout metal anthem, but an entertaining music video and a joint tour.
Feuerschwanz, which translated to “fire tail,” began their career as a comedic medieval folk rock band. They have since evolved to become a major force in the scene, with their 2021 album Memento Mori hitting number 1 on the Official German Album Charts. On the other hand, Lord of the Lost formed as a German dark rock band in the late 2000s and released their first studio album in 2010. Hodi, the multi-instrumentalist and vocalist for Feuerschwanz, said that bringing their two sounds together was a worthy challenge.
We’ve had a great friendship with Lord of the Lost for a long time, even though we come from completely different musical worlds. For us, it was great fun and challenging at the same time to merge the two worlds into one!

Chris Harms, the vocalist and guitarist for Lord of the Lost, said that despite the fact that they come from different musical backgrounds, their bands are rooted more in their similarities than their differences.
Besides our shared love for music, Feuerschwanz and Lord of the Lost have one more thing in common: bringing every idea to life, no matter how crazy it might be.

One of these ideas was the creation of “Lords of Fyre,” a track that seamlessly combines anthemic and arena-ready vocals in the verses and chorus with darker growls in the bridge. The variation of their vocal delivery throughout the track showcases the artistic versatility that could be utilized through this collaboration between the two German rock powerhouses.
Another idea brought to fruition by the collaboration was a massive co-headlining tour across seven cities in Germany in October, closing out each group’s year with a massive bang.
While you wait for what’s to come next from these groups, stream “Lords of Fyre” wherever you get your music!
