LIL UZI VERT RELEASES FOUR TRACKS OFF THEIR RED & WHITE EP ON ALL DSPS
Grammy-nominated artist Lil Uzi Vert has just released four new songs off their EP Red & White and each song is available to download/stream right now! Uzi accidentally leaked “Space Cadet,” “Flex Up,” “I Know,” and “Hittin My Shoulder” prior to the release date on SoundCloud. Oh Uzi, smh. Fans will be able to hear all of the newly leaked tracks at upcoming festivals that Uzi will be performing at. Four new tracks and festivals, sounds like a party to me.
Although being leaked, “Space Cadet” currently sits at number one on the SoundCloud Top 50 chart with over three million streams. This song has a very trippy euphoric vibe. It has an upbeat energy with sounds that make you feel like you’re in a galaxy. It really makes you feel like a space cadet. Fans are really loving this leaked track. The lyrics imply that Uzi is under the influence and that is why their head is in space. Out of mind, out of body experience. There is no gravity in space, just floating around and Uzi compares being under the influence to that feeling. They even mention the iconic Squidward Tentacles the feeling of being under water. Definitely an interesting song but the more you listen to it the more you vibe with it. It just gets you hype like yes, I am a space cadet. I’m chilling and vibing. Fans are calling it a “banger” and that the beat is “fire.” This definitely is a sick song that’ll probably project so nicely live. The visuals, the stage presence will definitely elevate this song if done well.
“Flex Up” starts off slow and sensual and keeps that beat rhythm throughout the song. Lil Uzi is basically doing what the title says. They are flexing. Uzi uses the lyrics to tell listeners all about their success. This song emphasis’s Uzi’s plans on staying successful until they’re old and gray. Nothing wrong with feeling yourself a little bit. Confidence is helping them release multiple songs that go up on the charts and fans really love. Uzi’s got their diamonds, got their money and got their bros by their side. They are truly living their best life. Why not drop a on song to everybody about how proud you are of your blessings. “Flex Up” currently has over one million streams. Go off, boo.
Now onto the song that is currently sitting number two on the SoundCloud Top 50 chart with over two million streams, “I Know.” This song was floating around for years as a snippet. Teasing fans on if there will ever be a full song released. Well, it is here and of course fans are loving it, the streams speaks for themselves. This song can also be seen on how Uzi acknowledges their fame and success however in this they are also shedding light on the struggle. They state “I know I was nothing, I turned into something.” That is pretty deep. Starting from the bottom and working their way to the top. If you’re hungry for it, you’ll do whatever it takes to get there. Even stating that their goal is never reached because they constantly set new ones to achieve. The grind doesn’t stop with Uzi.
“Hittin My Shoulder” is serving the same style as “Space Cadet.” With over 500k streams, this song goes hard. Indeed you will be hitting your shoulders. Doing the little dance where you put your arms to your chest and pop your shoulder feeling all kinds of swag. The beginning of the song is a slow buildup and feels like you are underwater just about to break the surface. Seems to be a recurring theme. Staying on brand, really getting their message across. This needs to be getting more streams like the other three songs. “Hittin My Shoulder” is a diss track of all the haters trying to copy Lil Uzi’s “style” and “flow” as stated in the lyrics. They are calling everyone out for being fake, being a snake, trying to flaunt what they don’t got. If you got haters, that means you’re doing something right.
