Iniko has released the conceptually and visually masterful video for “Jericho,” directed by Anastasia Delmark. As their newest single, it has easily risen to be their most popular track. “Jericho” is the third song off of Iniko’s latest building project, including “Yosemite (Song For The Ahwahnechee)” and “The King’s Affirmation,” out with Sony Records. Iniko has made a significant mark on non-binary representation in music, sharing a vast and personal creativity that is treasured by their fans. This new single and video is a delightful look into Iniko’s brilliant mind, with fashion, makeup, and moves up to their superstar standards.
Thunder crackles at the onslaught of Iniko’s visual. As the camera moves us through a cityscape, we end up in a lab, where a scientist moves careful droplets of potion. The song opens once the concoction’s smoke unfurls into Iniko’s presence. Their extravagant facial jewelry and stark blonde mullet draw all attention to their face, magnetically pulled to their lyrics and expression. They play a sort of alien, futuristic and wise. A complex storyline continues, and they grow more and more powerful. Iniko has mastered the vocal crescendo, and by the time we’ve reached the catchy chorus, they’ve let loose. They return for the second verse with an even further bedazzled face, long white braids, flitting back and forth between scenes of their pixie-cut, dressed down self, attached to mysterious cords. The song soars through a variety of emotion, reflected in the multiple versions of Iniko featured in the video.
