Millions flock to Jayden Hammer for her killer electric guitar covers of popular songs. Now, they can listen to her original music with “Hate Yourself.” A pulsating rhythm and a deep baseline draw you into this dynamic track, a synergy of the best of alternative, pop, and rock elements.
The LA-based queer artist is entering a new era. Jayden has posted guitar covers on YouTube since 2014 as just a child. They explored TikTok in 2019, attracting more than 2 million fans for good music and good vibes all around.
Jayden has established themself as a gifted guitarist, playing for Demi Lovato on tour in Europe or performing with DeathByRomy on tour for Pierce The Veil and The Used. They’ve even made appearances at Coachella, Aftershock, and Louder than life.
Now, it’s time for their solo project.
“Hate Yourself” evokes the classic enemies-to-lovers trope. “Ravey synths” and riveting guitar riffs drive the song, building energy and immersing you in this angsty anthem. It encapsulates “that moment of satisfaction when you realize that the person you thought was out to get you was in fact just wanting to be with you all along, and had been denying that to themselves,” according to Jayden.
Jayden has the dream team, with Becca Krueger (Mothica, Jonas Blue) as co-writer and David Burris (Mothica, American Teeth) as a producer.
