GOOD TERMS RELEASES POP PUNK RELATABLE TRACK “OLD FRIEND”

Hailing from Los Angeles, Good Terms released their newest single “Old Friend” built upon their signature heavy emo-pop sound with a twist. “Old Friend” has new organic-modern production techniques , heartfelt personal lyrics that anyone can resonate with and distinct indie pop and technical metal core guitar accents.

The meaning of the track is showcasing what happens when being estranged from a friend you used to be super close with and the journey one goes on to get to forgiveness. The band expressed that the longer you hold on to this contempt feeling the more weight you carry with you. The feelings of anger fade away and you eventually start to think about all the love you had for your friend.

“My family and I weren’t on speaking terms for most of the pandemic over a stupid argument that I wasted two years of my life being upset about. ‘Old Friend’ was written toward the end of this conflict as I was working through many of my own issues & building up the courage to try to resolve it.”

Guitarist Zach Boucher

The music video for “Old Friend” resembles commercials that advertises medication and list every single possible side effect that comes along when taking it. Good Terms uses the video to bring lightness to the situation and shows what could happen if you allow this person back into your life aka the side effects. “Old Friend” is upbeat with classic punk sounds that everyone loves with an awesome instrumental riff with electric guitars and drums towards the end that will have your head banging along. The band name and this song make perfect sense, always wanting to be on good terms but there is always a journey to get there.
