A year after the initial success of girl in red’s debut album if i can make it go quiet, singer-songwriter and producer Marie Ulven (girl in red) and Hunter Schafer have partnered up to give “hornylovesickmess” its own music video.
In a stunning entry, Schafer and girl in red compliment “hornylovesickmess” with captivating visuals that fit perfectly with the sung lyrics.

The video follows girl in red (our resident hornylovesickmess) on long stretches of unforgiving and unrelenting roads as she remembers what life was like before she was constantly being dragged from one place to another.
Filled with heart-wrenching scenes of what used to be (or what could be) and a metaphor that gains sentience and proceeds to consume the protagonist, “hornylovesickmess” is a beautifully filmed video and one heck of a way to usher in Schafer’s directoral debut.
On the music video-making process, Ulven says “‘hornylovesickmess’ is one of my favorites off the album. Being able to make a video with Hunter for the album’s anniversary was so cool. We had so many ideas after the first time we hung out and it was cool to be with another creative in that way. it was also fun to be on set with her and get her vibe as a director.”

In the video’s final moments, viewers are bombarded by images of two people in love. While they may be in love, we know that (at least for now) they aren’t meant to be. “Hornylovesickmess” ends with one final close-up shot of girl in red crying on her tour bus before immediately transitioning into the end credits.
“Hornylovesickmess” is an amazing song now with an equally stunning music video, and you should definitely check them both out.
