New Zealand born, US based artist; Estella Dawn’s ethereal sound explore personal and social parts of life, and her development and defining in her craft really began over the last year. As a songwriter, singer, and producer, you can hear her talents all throughout her sound. After releasing a single every 6 weeks throughout 2020, she built a steady following that resonated with her intimate take on life. With this growth, there have been many highs, her song “I Dare You” charted on the media base Radio Top 40 chart, and her music has been critically acclaimed by many voices around the world.
This year began strong with Estella’s first single in January, “Petty,” which gained her more traction globally. Her second single, “Trolls,” was just unveiled today, March 31st, and Dawn promises that singles will keep flowing until she heads into the studio mid 2021 to record and produce a full length album with a band. She has a keen creative vitality and seems to always be creating. As a working musician, she writes and records her vocals and piano as well as co-producing all aspects of her music. Her old soul permeates throughout her newest track, seeping through with a modern pop sound. Her tracks are well-crafted, soothing in sound with a touch of grit.
“The internet is an incredible and diverse platform, especially for creatives,” says Dawn, about the track. “The ability to interact online, to watch, listen and engage with people and their content is amazing. However, the wonderful web also has a dark side, and one aspect I’ve always struggled to understand is Trolling. I truly believe that everyone is entitled to their opinion, and I don’t in any way expect people to like everything they see or hear. However, what I think is unfortunate is the desire for some people to tear others down, seemingly, just because they can. ‘Trolls’ is essentially a reflection on this unwanted negative attention that I, and I’m sure many others, sometimes experience online.”
“Trolls” is available now on all streaming platforms. Listen now:
