Nurtured among the hills of New Hampshire on a love for 70’s singing and storytelling, Ona Hauert has begun on a more public music journey. After a few years of crafting soft songs in her bedroom, she now writes, in relative hermitude, some soulful ballads. As they deconstruct and reconstruct past memories and experiences into something sonic and simple, these compositions are her path to moving on.

“Downstream” is her newest single and it showcases her noteworthy vocal talents while she strums a calming folky tune, rejoicing in the randomness of life. The acoustic guitar strums cascade beneath Ona’s velvety vocals, highlighting the strength and depth of her voice. The lyrics are entrancingly nostalgic – reminiscing of people who have held importance in her life and letting them happily fall back into her memories. The sweetness in her tone is matched by the smoothness of the guitar strums, creating a tranquil soundscape for the trip down memory lane.
