Bloodywood take Sacramento for “Rakshak” Tour

New Delhi metal outfit, Bloodywood, returns to Sacramento for the first time since their city debut at the Aftershock festival late last year in celebration of the release of their album, Rakshak. The tour features rising metal acts Vended and Wargasm as openers and have been crossing thousands of miles to play in cities around the world.

See what we had to say about the performance below, and check out our photos from the event!

One word that could sum up the entire tour would be inspirational. Not only is Bloodywood fully independent and taking the world by storm, the messages in their work are set to move mountains with their lyrics and empowering stories. Not a moment of silence stilled the crowd. Each person was ramped up to the maximum as they rocked through Goldfield Trading Post in Roseville California that evening.

And I must take extra note to this. As a music journalist of seven years, at this point, in all my days, have I felt the same swell of emotion and yearning to take action and spread the movement and energy as I have when I was watching Bloodywood perform. Taking the time in between each track to explain their stories and their messages to an audience speaking an entirely different language, they shared a look into their world as musicians who not only aim to inspire, but to change the entire world with their craft. Many attempt to do so in their lifetimes, but this band may just do that.

We may be different, but the desire to fight for what is good and right is the same.
The spirit is the same. Diversity is a gift. No matter who we are, where we come from or the language we speak… the list goes on. We are one people. And we refuse to be divided.

We will change the world, one metal song at a time…
