VANÈS is new to the music scene, cooking up some edgy alternative-pop goodness, writing songs to explore herself as both an artist and human being. Her debut single “Brain” has already amassed over 500,000 streams in just its first month of release, even scoring her the cover of Spotify’s Fresh & Chill playlist. VANÈS is impressing listeners everywhere, proving herself to be an international artist to watch out for.
“Brain” is accompanied by a music video, the visuals of which were directed by Leon Möckel. Shot in Kaiserslautern, Germany, the video depicts hazy images that personify VANÈS‘ lyrics and the different versions of herself through color and lighting play.
“Brain” was produced by VANÈS’s frequent collaborator and brother, dontaskalex. She explains that “Brain” is “feeling like I have 10 different versions of myself inside my head. Some could say that I’m just overthinking, but I truly believe they only exist to sabotage me and my decisions.”
If you liked this, VANÈS just released a follow-up single entitled “Nightmare,” which is softer around the edges than “Brain,” showcasing another angle of this emerging artist’s personality.
