Missouri punk group Trio Radkey has announced a series of tour dates across the US running from September through December of 2021. The group is currently on tour opening for arena-rock legends Foo Fighters on their 26th Anniversary Tour after appearing in frontman Dave Grohl’s documentary film What Drives Us. They recently played at the legendary Lollapalooza festival in Chicago.
Other dates include major festivals, including Chicago’s Riot Fest on September 17 and Alternating Currents in Davenport, IA on August 21. They will also be playing dates supporting Local H on their The Lifers Retour 2021 from September through November.
Trio Radkey was formed by brothers Dee, Isaiah, and Solomon Radkey as pre-teens in the small town of Saint Joseph, MO. They played their first show in 2011 as an opening act for Fishbone. Over the past decade, the young siblings have honed a brand of explosive, hard punk rock with gritty vocals and no shortage of massive hooks, building on on retro styles with elements of newer trends like sludge. Their latest album, Green Room, was paid for by a crowdfunding campaign from fans around the world and was self-released. It earned praise from voices including New Noise Magazine.
Their tour began on August 3 at the Hollywood Casino Amphitheater in St. Louis, moving on to the Azura Amphitheater in Bonner Springs, KS on August 5 and the Zoo Amphitheater in Oklahoma City, OK on August 7. The trio has multiple stops in a number of cities across their native Midwest, including Milwaulkee and St. Louis. They wrap up their tour with two days at the recordBar in Kansas City, MO on December 17 and 18.
