“Touch” by Big Wild is out today and marks the artist’s first release following his album, Superdream, last year.
The song features his signature style – bright indie melodies with a pop undertone – with eerily relevant lyrics of longing for a loved one. However, this song also marks a shift towards a more lyrical and vocal music journey as it features more of Big Wild’s voice than we’ve heard in his past projects.
Big Wild drew from his experiences of being on the road and away from the person he loves to deliver the penetrating lyrics. As the song progresses, the desire behind the lyrics turns into a desperate need for love. Although the song was written and intended to be released before the pandemic unfolded, the lyrics undoubtedly resonate with many as it reflects on our current situations of having to be away from the people we love.
