In October 2019, Stained took to stage at the Foxwoods Resort Casino to celebrate the band’s reunion after a 5-year hiatus. Nearly two years later, the multi-platinum rock band takes the footage from the never-before-seen concert to introduce the next project, the first album release fans have seen from the band in nine years. Partnering up with Danny Wimmer Presents, the band introduces The Return Of Staind: A Two Part Global Streaming Series.
For fans who participated in the event on May 1st, Live: It’s Been Awhile (From Foxwoods), they were able to experience the new album in the environment that it was initially recorded, giving a unique experience into the momentum Staind was building into what would have been a very busy 2020.
“These were the first grouping of shows we played together in 2019 when we were gearing up for what was to be a very busy 2020… that never happened. I’m glad we captured that energy here and can share it with those who couldn’t be at Foxwoods.”
Lead Vocalist and Rhythm Guitarist; Aaron Lewis

Through the Foxwoods stream, the band not only encapsulated the experience of live concerts pre-pandemic but reminded fans of the energy and excitement behind seeing these performances in person. Staind performed songs including, but not limited to, Eyes Wide Open, Something, and So Far Away, and it was also through this stream that fans could visualize the making of Live: It’s Been Awhile album, set to release on May 7th.
Although it may not have lived up to being there at Foxwoods, it certainly acts well as a close second and an excellent buildup into the Live, 20th Anniversary performance of Break the Cycle in its entirety.

Be sure to mark your calendars for May 7th for the release of Live: It’s Been Awhile and for May 8th, the second part to The Return of Staind. Tickets can still be purchased for the upcoming streaming event as well as VIP experiences through StaindLive.com.
