After making fans wait for too long, Tiwa Savage the Nigerian superstar has finally released the accompanying video to the anthem “Somebody’s Son” ft. GRAMMY Award-winning songstress Brandy.  This hit record is an excerpt from Tiwa’s critically acclaimed fifth studio project WATER & GARRI.

Tiwa describes the collaboration as a “full-circle moment with her all-time idol” The track stands as an honest and moving mid-tempo record where both of them become the perfect vocal team. The track flawlessly encapsulates the universal desire for companionship with lines like “Somebody son go love me one day” which gets the listeners hooked. As Tiwa added, “It’s a message of hope” The video portrays the raw emotion everyone has in life by displaying all types of love; familial love, romantic love, and sisterly love. The powerful video is built on playful and splendid visuals which powerfully deliver the honest emotions endured by almost everyone.

                                    
The video was directed by the Nigerian filmmaker, Meji Alabi, a frequent collaborator. It was produced by Mystro and released through Motown Records. Her critically acclaimed fourth studio album ‘Celia’ is named as one of the 10 Best Albums of 2020 by Time Magazine. Water & Garri has Tiwa collaborating with many big-name musical artists from across the United States and Africa. The EP opens with “Work Fada” which is a 6:26 minute musical experience and it features the rap legend NAS and songwriter and producer RICH KING who also produced the record. The EP also features Brandy — the GRAMMY Award singing sensation, the Nigerian singer-songwriter Tay Iwar, and Ghanaian-American artist Amaraae.
