The Fixer Mixes Metal And Rock To Create Their Dynamic New Single, “Depart”

Looking for more rock music that’s “Dark, Sexy, and Loud?” Then check out The Fixer’s latest single, “Depart.” With complex instrumentals, fantastic vocals, and an attitude any rocker would love, “Depart” is perfect for any fan of hard rock music.

Listen to “Depart” below:

“Depart” is an energetic, fun rock track that combines elements of industrial and gothic metal to create a dynamic instrumental. Various instrumental layers keep the song interesting, from the heavy groove of the bass line to the dirty guitar riffs juxtaposing the more ambient and melodic electronic sounds. The tempo changes throughout the song keep “Depart” from feeling like the song is dragging, instead captivating the listener and getting them on their feet and ready to dance.

Another aspect that brings the track to life is the vocal performances. Lead singer Melladonna has a tone similar to that of Joan Jett, especially at the beginning of the song. She also translates a lot of attitude through her voice, making anyone feel ready to take on the night (or the day). The chorus is punctuated with screaming backing vocals that make the chorus flow flawlessly and also create a fun dynamic in the overall vocal performance.

“Depart” is the Fixer’s first single they’ve dropped since their EP, The Prowl, in 2020. Although this is their first release in a couple of years, the band is returning stronger than ever. In fact, they are even doing their first live show ever as a band.

Anyone in Canada can go see The Fixer live for the first time at Atmos in Ontario on November 26th. The show starts at 9 PM, and tickets are available now at The Fixer Debut Show on Eventbrite.

In the meantime, you can check out their debut EP, The Prowl, and follow The Fixer on Facebook, YouTube, or Instagram to stay up to date on their music.
