Teddy Killerz Will Keep You Up All Night
This dance anthem lives up to its name. EDM trio Teddy Killerz dropped their debut EP No Sleep this past week via Bassrush Records. Out of the four songs, the similarly-titled track became the lead single.
The high-pulse dubstep track flows in the same vein of prolific producers of the genre, like Skrillex. However, Teddy Killerz have spun it with their own twist with a dramatic orchestral entrance and high-pitched vocal effects. Many would have thought that dubstep died out a couple years ago but the trio are proof that the genre is still alive and breathing, thus possible that it will make a comeback in the upcoming years. Considering that pop culture has thrived off of nostalgia in the last couple of years, the success of the trio is on the horizon.
Teddy Killerz are a Russian-Ukrainian electronic trio — consisting of Grigory Cherekaev, Anton Mashevsky and Oleg Cholovsky. They found fame in 2012 after they won a remix contest hosted by their future label OWSLA, in which they remixed Skrillex’s “Make It Bun Dem.” Their first-ever original release was the Toys Riot EP under the label. Two years later, they were signed to RAM Records in which they released their 2015 EP Hyperspeed and debut album Nightmare Street in 2017. Since their genesis, the trio have remixed for artists like Skrillex, electronic rock group Modestep, and The Prodigy. In addition, they have performed in high profile venues such as EDC Las Vegas, Electric Forest, Boomtown, and Mysteryland. Due to the energetic nature of their stage and musical personas, these guys will not be sleeping anytime soon!!
