Sorry, Peach Made The Perfect New Chaotic Breakup Song in “myheadisbleeding”

Sorry, Peach is moving on. In “myheadisbleeding,” the indie pop band is melancholic yet defiant. Sorrow and self-doubt merge with righteous anger in this track. Listening feels freeing, the perfect addition to any playlist for a much-needed emotional release.

While it still carries our signature emotional weight, it’s a departure from our usual sad girl pop. Don’t get me wrong—it’s still a sad song. But it’s the kind of sad song you blast while keying your ex’s car, hyping yourself up for a little well-earned chaos.

Sorry, Peach

“myheadisbleeding,” released today, marks Sorry, Peach’s return to releasing music since 2022. The band has been playing the song at live shows for over a year before deciding to record. They said “everything just clicked” with this production process.

The track begins with a comfortingly mellow vibe, vulnerable and emotive. It quickly builds to a more dynamic feel with explosive instrumentals and powerhouse vocals. In “myheadisbleeding,” Sorry, Peach acknowledges a heartbreak but is not afraid to say goodbye.

Can I stay with you tonight

My head is bleeding and I can’t drive

Won’t you leave on the porch light

Darling I know you don’t mind, you don’t mind

This is goodbye

Goodbye

Sorry, Peach was born when Tyerra Clayborne and Jonathan Roberson had a class project at Converse University in Spartanburg, South Carolina. Now, the two are making waves in the world of indie and bedroom pop. Past tracks like “Solitude” have garnered more than 2.5 million streams on Spotify, proving Sorry, Peach is a name to watch out for.
