Bexxie and Towera Smith drop their hot new collaboration “Take Control.”
Thanks to her unique twist on modern EDM, Bexxie has made a name for herself in the genre. Not only has she toured the world, but she also garnered the support of giants such as David Guetta, Above & Beyond and Jax Jones, as well as earning a cover on “Fresh Finds: Basement” on Spotify and much more.
Bexxie started her musical journey as a DJ in the 90s, making a comeback after a break in the 2000s and 2010s. With multiple of her tracks, such as the fan favorite “Feel The Energy” reaching more than 8 million streams on Spotify, Bexxie received mass support from just as many people on Instagram and TikTok, an appearance on Rolling Stone India and gaining a spot on Spotify’s “Operator” playlist.
Above all, 2024 was a phenomenal year for Bexxie. Not only did she rock EDC Las Vegas for the third time, but she also debuted at ADE. Furthermore, she ended the year on a special note with one of a kind shows at Exchange LA for Tech My House, as well as on the Provenance NYE stage alongside Seven Lions. With all these unforgettable performances under her belt, there is no stopping Bexxie in 2025.
Delving deep into her trademark 90s soundscapes, Bexxie teams up with Towera, bringing us their latest single “Take Control.” The track marks a strong start into 2025 for Bexxie. It came together from her own experiences from the early days of the rave scene, giving it a personal touch. Her distinct sound offers the perfect platform for Towera’s soulful vocals to tie into the experience carrying the message,
“You’ve got to take control
Of your mind, body and soul”
~ Take Control

The combination of Bexxie’s high octane beats and Towera’s beautiful vocals instantly grants the track a place amongst the must-have titles at any rave event. If you are a fan of Bexxie’s work, you’ll feel right at home with her signature claps in “Take Control.” As the track harkens back to the roots of the rave scene, the experience as a whole elicits a strongly nostalgic flair.
About “Take Control” Bexxie says,
“I wanted to lean into the early ‘90s rave sound while also adding a UK garage vibe, particularly through the shuffling drum pattern and bassline. Towera did a beautiful job with the vocals, really bringing the track together.”
