She’s Back! Let’s Talk About Rihanna’s Halftime Show
After a long awaited return, singer and Fenty Beauty business woman Rihanna amazed thousands with her Super Bowl halftime show performance on Sunday, Feb. 12.
Suspended about sixty feet in the air, Rihanna subtly showed off her second pregnancy and kicked off the performance with “Bitch Better Have Money.” The 2015 hit single, was the perfect way to start off the performance letting fans know that the queen is back.
Following “Bitch Better Have My Money,” Rihanna beautifully transitioned between her electronic dance-pop hits, “Where Have You Been,” “Only Girl (In The World),” and “Rude Boy.” In the sped up version of “Rude Boy,” fans across the nation were graced with an electrifying dance performance by Rihanna and her dancers.
Although there was no special musical guest, Rihanna’s beauty line, Fenty made a special feature between her productions of “Pour It Up” and “All of the Lights.”
The NFL tweeted:
Rihanna’s performance of “Run This Town” really gave the audience watching from home a real time perspective of the intensity and depth of her show. Running from one end of the football stadium to the other, the red stage took over the Super Bowl. Additionally, Rihanna was accompanied by hundreds of dancers and practically hijacked the entire Super Bowl stadium.
Despite some twitter criticizers, we have to admit how exceptional Rihanna’s performance was. It has been nearly seven years since the drop of her full-length album, Anti, and she came back with a dedication for this performance. Between her last album to this Super Bowl halftime show, Rihanna has continued to stay busy with fashion, her beauty line, her family and has still graced fans with a remarkable production–all while pregnant.
