CeCe Brings The Attitude And Vengeance To “Problems”
Love might be in the air this February, but so is revenge against exes who ruined relationships. The most notable of these songs is Miley Cyrus’s “Flowers,” however, she is not the only artist creating music for those scorned by toxic exes. Anyone who has put “Flowers” on repeat needs to check out CeCe’s latest alt-pop single, “Problems.”
According to CeCe, “Problems” is
“…the ultimate “F*$#@ YOU FOR CHEATING ON ME” record. This song gives anyone whose ever been betrayed by someone they love an outlet to be as petty and spiteful as they want for 3:13. It gives them the catharsis they need to leave that person/pain behind and truly move on.”

Starting with guitar and distorted vocals, “Problems” takes a song about betrayal and turns it into a catchy track perfect for anyone who has been cheated on to sing (or scream) along, especially in the chorus.
The lyrics tell the story of someone who was cheated on and embody the feelings of anger while dealing with the pain of being hurt. The first verse sets the scene, “Everything was going alright/ Until you came and fucked up my life/ I’m so tired of being polite/ How the hell do you sleep at night?” As the chorus comes in, Cece sings, “Problems I got’em/ And you’re #1.” As the chorus continues, the artists sing about how vengeance will be had, “Somebody better call up your mama/ Tell her, ‘Come get your son,’/ Cause I’m about to air out your laundry/ And laugh while it burns.”
