She Is Jules Shares Regrets In New Single, “Twice”

Bay Area-raised musician showcases her unique senses in her latest single, “twice,” which is also the second toward her upcoming EP. She Is Jules blends genres with her sound, all from acoustic pop to electronic dance music: she does it all. Her ethereal songwriting remains a voice that you won’t forget, especially when paired with an emotive sense of storytelling and unique songwriting process.

Starting at the young age of 8, Julianna Pollifrone picked up a guitar and started her journey to becoming an artist. Her voice can be heard throughout songs all around the world; amassing over 45 million streams on Spotify alone. The singer is widely known for her vocals on the iconic cover of “Mad World” released by Timmy Trumpet and Gabry Ponte. She does all this while writing, singing, and vocal producing her own songs. The musician continues to storytell through her songwriting in collaboration as well as her own originals.

Her newest song, “twice,” is fittingly the second single off of the upcoming EP, Synesthesia. While every track off the EP represents a color, this one represents the color blue. The bitter pop ballad talks about the regret of giving someone a second chance… “twice was far too many times…” as the pre-chorus sings. And the hues of blue dance in their melancholy and bordering resentment as She Is Jules conveys her journey in this sure heartbreak anthem.
