Scotland alt-pop brother duo Stevie and Alan Jukes of SAINT PHNX released the newest version, “Happy Place” featuring London-based singer-songwriter Jasmine Thompson. The phenomenal soulful track was written and recorded at their late father’s home, who passed away last year. Making waves, “Happy Place” has gained over 78 million streams, ranking in the top 20 on Shazam, and it is one of their topped videos on iTunes, watch here. The duo rose to fame for their hit single, “KING”, in 2016 with over 20 million Spotify streams. Instantly, brothers Jukes started touring with Yungblud and opening for artists like Lewis Capaldi to Imagine Dragons.
The latest version of “Happy Place” includes a smashing performance with Jasmine Thompson. The video appears to be in black and white. Stevie jukes captivate the screen with his highly energetic and upbeat harmony, and ever so talented Thompson dazzles listeners with her vocals incorporating beautiful melody to this uplifting track. “Over the hills and far away/ Looking out for a better day/ When it seems like there’s no escape/ Take me to my happy place.” Alan Jukes drumming torches soul, singing passionately, with performance choristers and acoustic chords.
The joyfulness of “Happy Place” makes it hard to believe the track is about losing a beloved parent. Instead of projecting anguish, brothers Jukes expressed celebration of life, sorrowful single mixes raw emotions and happiness. Saint PHNX has announced the release of their Happy Place EP, Atlantic Records, due January 14, 2022. The project contains a six-track, including a wonderfully written holiday song, “Peace” which was released last month on Atlantic Records’ yearly holiday compilation, watch here.
