“ROTOSCOPE” IS THE NEW SINGLE RELEASE FROM HEAVY BAND SPIRITBOX
As their Europe tour came to an end, 2021’s hottest heavy band SpiritBox capped off their run with a three-track single. Riding the coattails of Rotoscope and a slew of stellar performance reviews, Spiritbox is heading to the U.S. for a celebratory festival run this summer. The loaded single release is Spritbox’s first new music since their incendiary, chart-topping debut album Eternal Blue. Watch the official music video for “Rotoscope,” directed by Max Moore, below.
Rotoscope sees the band bringing their unique, contemporary spin to a more industrial, 90s alt-rock-tinged sound. Lead singer Courtney LaPlante offers an almost rudimentary pop vocalist performance on top of a thick, monumental instrumentalism more characteristic of the heavy metal genre. In the music video, ominous and ethereal visuals enshroud LaPlante and her band, giving off some serious early 2000s vampire-punk vibes.
Undoubtedly cemented as one of the most prevalent and rapidly rising forces in modern music, Spiritbox has enjoyed a wealth of praise from the media after “infectious” and “legendary” performances in Europe over the last few months––if your a metal fan, and you’re still on the fence about these guys, just get a taste of what folks have been saying about them:
Spiritbox are coming to claim the thrones of all the old Kings who have become complacent in the post-Covid world.
Daily Express
Whether you were there or not, Spiritbox have staked a claim on being the metal band every fan needs to know after Download Festival 2022, on a rocket ride that seemingly has no end in sight.
Metal Hammer
Flawlessly tight, spine-tinglingly heavy and wholly powerful, it’s hard not to feel a little bit choked up. That choked-up feeling lingers as colossal moment after colossal moment follows….One of the most brutal, beautiful, and breathless shows this room has ever seen.
