R.LUM.R went from being a name I saw on local artist line-ups, to an artist I’d see regularly showcased in my fellow photographers portfolios, to an artist I eventually met backstage at Hangout Festival a couple years ago. After gaining quite the momentum through releasing a series of wildly successful singles, his debut album is here and R.LUM.R is in the spotlight to stay.
The introduction track of Surfacing, “Making A Choice”, is one you aren’t likely to forget. It comes in very smooth, almost like a 90s R&B track, and then takes a dark turn which makes it feel like an intro-lude. Following the intro, the album unfolds into a love note of honesty from R.LUM.R to his FRAMILY. You can clearly hear his emotions and passion and struggles in his voice as he takes you through the stories of his life. Overall, we’d highly recommend checking out this album as it’s not long before R.LUM.R will be headling your favorite events and festivals!
