We are happy to present to you this episode of Quarantine Tapes featuring the lovely Shira Elias, a powerhouse R&B Funk vocalist and songwriter everybody needs in their life. Enjoy these snippets of our Los Angeles adventures.

This big, bad and bodacious personality has recently made the big move from East Coast to West Coast and is documenting all the experiences from each in her two-part project Goods and Services EPs. You may recognize her beautiful voice from the 9-piece funk back Turkuaz! Bringing with her all the experiences of being on the road and touring with such a talented group of musicians, Shira Elias has since embarked on her own journey as a solo-artist.

Goods the EP is the first half of her story, capturing all the highlights of her New York experience. The second half, Services the EP, will be available as soon as she’s done soaking up her move to the west coast, her new life in Los Angeles and all the in-betweens.

Being originally from Vancouver, BC, Shira Elias has made somewhat of a coming home story for herself. Taking all the experiences that have happened to her and shaped her, she writes truthfully and shares her story in a vulnerable authentic way. The funk and soul in her music that makes you dance until you can’t anymore is just a bonus to her artistry to be honest. Her genuine energy, incredible song-writing skills and powerful vocals are sure to deliver even bigger and better on her upcoming EP than what we’ve already heard from Goods the EP.

Her single “Tonight” from Goods the EP is featured on our May the Funk Be With You playlist, so make sure to check that out as well.
