Puscifer Plots Fall North American Tour; Releases “Bullet Train To Iowa” Re-mix Video

To be scared of something is a natural process of life that can be caused by various reasons. For one, it’s a reaction we elicit when faced with unfamiliar, or unusual things. Another would be through trauma, or what we see in media. But in the end, regardless of the source of your fear it’s undeniably something that helped mold us into the person we are today. It’s like a shadow that constantly follows us, it’s a part of who we are and no matter how much we get rid of it. It just won’t let go or maybe we’re the ones who can’t and just won’t admit it (cue creepy music).

But just like everything in this world, there are those who go against the grain and thrive in it. Just like the Arizona trio Puscifer (Maynard James Keenan, Mat Mitchell, and Carina Round), who took embracing their dark sides to a whole new level. Circa 1995, they’ve done all this with endless passion and desire. With a discography that consists of some of the following: “The Humbling River”, “Momma Sed”, “Apocalyptical”, and “The Undertaker”, they’ve shown us that it’s fine to linger in the dark once in a while. Better yet, it could be friend we can come running to occasionally.

Now that we’re smack dab in the midst of summer 2022, they once again come forward with messages that’ll get our senses tingling. First off, last July 12th they announced to the public that they’re extending their heavily theatrically inspired Existential Reckoning Tour starting this fall. Six additional weeks of mind dizzying, soul slashing music and visuals meant to drive us nuts. This crowd pleaser will include performances in Canada, a first in their already illustrious journey in the music world.

Secondly, they have also released two new reimagined versions of “Bullet Train To Iowa” and “The Underwhelming” from their their critically acclaimed album Existential Reckoning. Handled by masters of music and the inky realm, these tunes were given new life by Billy Howerdel and James Iha who are also Keenan’s A Perfect Circle band mates. This also comes with a music video for “Bullet Train To Iowa” which was created by Meats Meier, that’ll surely get you to question your sanity while you bop your head to the rhythm.

In search of more Puscifer? If so, then take our hands, and let’s travel to their official website, Instagram, Facebook, Twitter, and YouTube accounts for more content that ‘ll bring us insane delight.

See you on the other side.
