BRING ME THE HORIZON Release New Single “sTraNgeRs”, Touring North America This Fall
Strangers are part and parcel of our daily lives. They represent those individuals that we have yet to get into contact with. We see them roaming in the streets, schools, malls, parks subways and other places open to the public. Their intentions and thoughts are unknown, all we know is that we share a space. But then there’s a dark side to it, where the ones we hold dear turn into “strangers” due to a myriad of unfortunate situations. How could someone familiar suddenly seem so unrecognizable?
Answers as to why that is are far and few. While that may be the case, the UK band Bring Me The Horizon can shed some light as to why that occurs with their brand new single “sTraNgeRs” released July 6th via Columbia Records. A hard rocking heart-breaking tune that chronicles a conversation between lovers who are at their breaking point. Waking up to the fact that their partner isn’t the same person they fell in love with. The flesh may seem the same, but the insides are rotting and wasting away with maggots. To make matters worse, they too are on their way to losing themselves in the process. It’s a desperate cry for help, encapsulated to music and poetic lyrics.
Exploring the world of “sTraNgeRs” further, this is a part of their ongoing critically acclaimed POST HUMAN EP series. A collection that digs deep into the human psyche, aiming to help draw out our skeletons out in the open. In addition to that, “sTraNgeRs” also comes bundled with a harrowing music video meant to give you a series of double takes. Giving us a clear depiction of what goes down as one descents into utter madness. It’s a field trip meant for nutcases all while giving a warning to those who are sane not to dare thread these murky waters of despair.
