Atlanta based pop duo Chapel are back with a new track “Wow” off their forthcoming “Room Service” EP. Chapel, composed of Carter Hardin and Kortney Grinwis, show off more of their unique power pop sound in this track filled with flirty quips and musings. As singer Carter Hardin shares, “Kortney & I wrote ‘WOW’ last summer. This song is about being led on and continuing to let it happen because you’ve got nothin’ better to do. It’s a self-aware and fun concept that we hope others can identify with.” The duo also also shared a new accompanying music video for “Wow” filmed in their hometown of Atlanta that shares a lot of the track’s carefree and light hearted vibe. This track comes as the third single of theirs in 2021 ahead of the new EP set to release April 23rd on Rise Records.
Pre-COVID, Chapel was riding their touring buzz and cruising the festival circuit. Since last year, they have since put a lot of effort into their upcoming releases and spent time developing themselves creatively. After getting the chance to tour with some huge acts like 3OH!3, Sum 41, and Good Charlotte, the last year for Chapel has seen a steady stream of releases from Hardin and Grinwis that keep us feeling fresh amid the past year in quarantine. Their upcoming EP is sure to be a worthy line in their discography showing off more of their signature playful-yet-emotive lyrics, soaring pop melodies, and R&B inflected rhythms, synths, and guitars.
Be sure to keep Chapel on your release radar, you can also check out the “Wow” music video here.
