Today, January 28th, Paddy James releases his first track from an upcoming four song EP, titled While Life Keeps Working. “What Makes A Man” is a beautiful production, hinged with James’s signature acoustic tones that showcase his clean folk vocals.

He has played support slots for the likes of Ed Sheeran and The Hoosiers as well as playing live sessions for BBC Introducing and Sofar Sounds. Paddy has again teamed up with Production duo Boe Weaver (Rhys Lewis, Jalen N’Gonda) on his upcoming EP ‘While Life Keeps Working’, to be released in early 2021. ‘What Makes a Man’ is the first single off the EP.

Hard working and up and coming, Paddy James shows potential and promise with this single; a storytelling hit that poses the question on what makes up the essence of a man. “Is it a beard or the beer in his hand?” he sings lightheartedly in the chorus. Fittingly so, his Spotify bio claims he recounts the mischief and melancholy of everyday life. Nothing more true could be said for this track, which offers a “hopeful message where kind ethics and a youthful outlook triumph,” as James so rightly puts it.

Stream “What Makes A Man,” available on all streaming platforms.
