Overnight is a jangly and dreamy indie rock band located in southern Massachusetts. Coming together through mutual friendships in their local music scene, they base their sound over a common appreciation for dreamy indie rock, midwestern emo, and 90s shoegaze. Their debut EP has been in the works for some time, and features a collection of tracks each member of the band wrote by their own hands.

The atmospheric and penultimate track of their debut, “If You Feel Ignored,” was written by all the members of the group. It depicts incredibly relatable feelings after a relationship has come to an end. Unafraid to stand in the face of them and confront the issues that arise in cutting off a close connection, they inspire anyone who listens to find ease and a sense of peace in their work.

After you’re done being caught up in the emotions of something, you realize how unjust the situation was. Sometimes you look back on something and just feel grateful it ended when it did. Even if a person is a really great human being, you can still get mistreated by them, and the lyrics of this song are just me reflecting on that.
