Madeon’s New Single is ‘Gonna Be Good’
Grammy-nominated producer Madeon unveils his new single “Gonna Be Good” via independent label Mom+Pop Music. The song is a bouncy, synth feel-good anthem which exudes optimism, something that is very much needed these days.
The producer further elaborated on the meaning of the song.
“It’s a song about restless hope. It’s about saying the things we wish were true, like an incantation. It’s about caring for people we love and promising them things we couldn’t promise ourselves. It’s the final single from the Good Faith era (that started all the way back in 2019), but also hints at what’s to come. I think it’s my favorite production and perhaps my favorite song I’ve ever released – I’ve already made so many special memories performing this song live over the past year, and I’m so happy you can take the song home now, I hope it’ll mean something to you too!!”

The music video, directed by SWISH Projects, finds the musician exploring an elaborate 3D world, a testament to his visualization talents. “Gonna Be Good” follows “Love You Back,” which are the last two singles of his aforementioned Good Faith era, despite not appearing on the album. Good Faith is Madeon’s second album which was released in 2019 and also got him his first Grammy nomination.
In addition to keeping busy with his own creative pursuits, Madeon has also collaborated with Lady Gaga twice — the first being on 2013’s ARTPOP and then 2020’s Chromatica. Recently, he released a remix of “No Fear No More” with hip-hop duo EARTHGANG and collaborated with Game of Thrones stars Lena Headey and Maisie Williams for his “Miracle” music video.
Later this year, he will perform his Good Faith show at Red Rocks on Oct. 29, with tickets being sold via AXS.
