KEADII “FLOWERS” IS THE SIGN YOU NEEDED TO STOP TEXTING HIM

Where are my West Coast readers at? I have a fresh hot drop from an aspiring pop artist straight out of Sacramento. Her name is Keadii and she has come to have a serious word with you about your toxic relationship bestie. The red hair vixen has dedicated her newest song “Flowers” to all the broken-hearted peeps out there waiting for a sign. This is it, this is the sign: do not text him back and listen to what Keadii has to say instead. Or should I rather say sing?

“This track means a lot to me. It’s as in-your-face sassy lyrically, as it is sonically. I have always been a fiery individual and this song takes it there! There’s a good chance the chorus will be stuck in your head. I’m speaking from experience!”

The track is inspired by the young musician’s personal experience and aims at teaching all her listeners that you do deserve better. A guy who doesn’t send you flowers? That’s a red flag right there. Contrary to the slightly bitter, yet completely justified shade in the lyrics is the uber-romantic almost, suffocatingly kitschy set-up of the music video. It creates the perfect illusion of the fake “Hollywood romance” that so many of us seek and mocks the unrealistic expectations we have when it comes to relationships. The flashiness of the pink rose world clashes with the images of Keadii fighting with her partner. There is something about the duality of the video that perfectly underlines the message that the Sacramento singer is sending out into the world. With slight Y2K teen movie drama allures and the poppy tune that gets stuck in your head fr, “Flowers” is a song and video I will be running on repeat throughout this weekend, and honestly, you should too.

Due to her infectious melody and impressive vocal intensity Keadii definitely deserves to be gracing your playlist. With the cheeky lyrics and sassy guitar solo combo, “Flowers” is the perfect addition to your midsummer music sessions!
