To coincide with the release of his new album Hope All is Well, Providence, R.I. native Jon Hope has teamed with director Eric Galano to create the visuals for the album cut, “Bluest Moon,” which brings the track’s potent lyricism to life with heartfelt imagery. The track, which features RagzDaArtist and production supplied by Hope’s longtime friend and Grammy-winning producer, Bongo By The Way, is a deeply personal story about overcoming a need for validation.
Hope was exposed to hip-hop from an early age and has long understood the pressures of the legacy he carries as a 1st generation African. His experiences have been catalysts for him to create something for everyone. From trap-infused anthems to more rough and rugged underground-sounding cuts, Hope is versatile and exudes raw talent. “Bluest Moon” follows his recent video release for “Where We Come From” and “THS.”
The song has a very catchy beat that gives the song energizing movement. RagzDaArtist eases listeners into the song with his dulcet tones on the hypnotic hook. Hope enters with an equally smooth and effortless verse. His rap style is remisicent of early 2000’s rhymes – flawless rhymes and introspective lyrics.
