On December 10th, dream pop artist jimi iv released their latest single, “found.” Equal parts James Blake and early Tame Impala, “found” is two minutes and fourteen seconds of powerful pop music. The guitar work here is incredible, and the vocals are awesome. In addition, the sentiment behind the track is something I can relate to on a personal level, and I’m sure most of you can, too.

The track is about having people help you though a depressive episode. Having gotten through many of those myself, the lyrics here are incredibly relatable. However, even the music does an incredible job of getting a depressive episode across. The guitar is sadly hopeful. The vocal effects make it sound like the voice is underwater at times. And, the best part of the production on this:

The subdued saxophone. I’m a sucker for good saxophone usage, and jimi iv absolutely killed it with their usage of saxophone on this track. “found” is an incredibly potent track. There is no dead space on it, and it’s an incredibly powerful listen.

Check it out below! Be sure to let us know what you think of jimi iv as well.
