Australian electronic artist Panama came out with a brand new collaboration this week alongside Belgian producer Jerro for their new track “Together”. The song, out via Future Classic, is a wonderful fusion between the two’s styles of chill, downtempo electronic and melodic house. This is Jerro’s debut track on the Australian label Future Classic, coming as his second single this year after January’s “Go Back Now”. According to Jerro surrounding his feelings working with Panama, “I have always been a huge fan of Panama! I’ve closely followed his original music and collaborations through the years so I feel honored to be amongst the incredible artists that he has worked with.” Multi instrumentalist and vocalist Panama, meanwhile, is a Future Classic mainstay and a hallmark for current Australian electronic music. His collaborations with the likes of Hayden James, KRANE, and Ta-Ku are all hallmark showcases of his aptitude for raw and lush lyricism.

Jerro’s silky melodies develop over this track effortlessly while Panama comes through with a killer vocal performance on “Together”. With classic anthemic house inspired pianos, swelling chords, and pitched vocals, the track drips with sleekness and style. With both artists being no strangers to surrounding their music in summery vibes, this song fits right into the changing of the seasons here in North America. With Jerro sticking more to a club centered style, it’s interesting to see his sort of influence with Panama’s slightly more organic aesthetic and production style. The result is a soulful combination of Panama’s deep vocals, with an almost melancholic and developed melody shining throughout. As an impressive showing from both these two artists, it’d also be interesting to see what sorts of future collaborations between the two, or remixes they have in store for the future.
