JENNASEN UNVEILS “GENERATOR,” AN UNRELENTING AND COMPELLING ELECTRONICA TRACK TO DANCE AWAY THE NIGHT TO

Though she only made her debut earlier this year, electronica artist Jennasen is already on her way to making her mark on the EDM world with her sophomore single, “Generator.” One could never guess that this is only her second official single, given how technically impressive the production and performance are in equal measure. “Generator” is a solid electronica track, full of synth riffs pulled straight out of the 1980’s and an unrelenting beat reminiscent of today’s dance club tracks. The song features minimal vocals, but when Jennasen opens her mouth to sing, it only makes “Generator” shine all the more. Björk in sound and Grimes in style, Jennasen’s singing alternates between delicate yet powerful, oftentimes overlayed in wonderful harmonies for ethereal effect. In all, “Generator” feels like a live concert experienced directly through one’s ears and, in Jennasen’s own words, the track:

“delivers an eclectic power pop anthem that explores themes of authenticity and cyberspace while sending listeners through a whirlwind of pulsating synthesizers and ethereal vocals, mirroring the electric energy of her live performances.”
