Calling all Earth lovers and nature enthusiasts! Just in time for Earth day, a brand new soundtrack titled Inspired By Jane is available today. The exclusive EP showcases the talents of Bishop Briggs, Leonie Biney, Lily Meola, Nightly and Tash Sultana. The five activism-driven musicians contribute their own original songs to craft a diverse musical tapestry. It both celebrates our planet and promotes environmental awareness.
Just like the title suggests, the 5-track EP was inspired by Jane, an Emmy Award-winning, Apple TV+ original series. Its release coincides with the premiere of the show’s third season. Highly influenced by the research of English zoologist Dr. Jane Goodall, the adventure-driven show seeks to teach children about the importance of saving endangered animals.
Jane Goodall is such an incredible, inspiring, and selfless human who has dedicated her life to making change and fighting for what she loves and believes in. I’m in awe of her and everything she’s done, so getting to be—even just a small part—of something she inspired is an absolute honor.”

From the layered harmonic vocals in Briggs’ “In Your Eyes” to the intricate acoustic guitar lines in Sultana’s “Ride,” Inspired By Jane highlights the diverse talents of its featured artists. The album has a dynamic range of genres. Biney has a delicate vocal performance throughout “Endless Day.” Not to mention, there’s an upbeat, pop-infused rhythm of Nightly’s “Everything Can Change.” Alongside its call to protect the planet and its ecosystems, the EP explores themes of unity, connection with nature, and empowerment.
“Everything will make a difference, what a difference we can make.”
We spoke with Hawaii-born singer-songwriter Lily Meola to learn about her experience working on the project. With a childhood rooted on the island of Maui, Hawaii, she explained how she was taught from a young age to appreciate and respect the world around her.
Growing up on Maui, I was completely immersed in nature pretty much 24/7. I think it taught me to truly appreciate how special and fragile it is. In Hawaiian culture, we’re also taught to respect the land and native species, so that’s been ingrained in me from a young age. For this project in particular, it was really meaningful to focus on a topic that hits so close to home.
~Lily Meola
Her original song, “Welcome Home,” embodies the idea that this Earth is home to more than just humans. “We’re under the same sky, feeling the same sun / Sharing the same trees / It’s not only our life that we should think of / We’re part of a family,” Meola sings. Her resonant vocals intertwine with lighthearted acoustic guitar lines and subtle percussion hits.
Writing [“Welcome Home”] gave me a deeper perspective on how life is kind of like a song. We’re all playing our unique parts—and how important it is to strive to live in harmony with each other. We all call this planet home. I think we sometimes get lost in the shuffle and forget how fragile and special it really is.

Inspired By Jane is more than just a collection of songs on an exclusive EP. Together, they serve as a powerful reminder of the importance of caring for our planet Earth and the animals that call it home. The best time to make a difference in raising awareness on environmental issues is right now.
