This Friday, LA-based rap rock band Hollywood Undead joins hands with the GRAMMY-winning electronic producer Imanbek to create a brand-new single, “Runaway.” Released via BMG and Sony Music, this unexpected collaboration is sure to hook any listener with its uplifting message and brilliant composition.

“Runaway” is quoted to be “the product of pandemic-time creativity and mutual respect of each other’s craft, with a hooky melody and message that transcends any border.” This single was released in collaboration with Effective Records in Russia and Eastern Europe, with the goal of uniting worldwide fans in a universal encouragement to “never runaway” during this pandemic.

Hollywood Undead first formed in 2005, releasing their debut album Swan Songs in 2008, remaining active in the nu metal industry ever since. Citing a varied source of inspiration, including 1990’s hip hop artists and djent sounds, founding member and bassist Johnny 3 Tears considers the band “industrial hip-hop,” but also states that the band’s true sound is “up to interpretation.” The band boasts a wide eclectic range of musicality, demonstrating their creativity, variety, and adaptability over their active years.

Kazakh electronic dance music record producer Imanbek first began working in music production in 2017. He won his first GRAMMY in 2021, when he became widely known for his remix of Saint Jhn’s “Roses” in 2019. He went on to release “Sweet Dreams,” an electronic poppy song, with English-Norwegian producer Alan Walker. The music video currently has 14 million views. Imanbek has also worked with pop giants such as Marshmello, Usher, Rita Ora, David Guetta, Cher Lloyd, and Fetty Wap.
