This upcoming August 25th and 26th, world-renowned artist Halsey presents their new movie and album “IF I CAN’T HAVE LOVE, I WANT POWER”. The movie, a one night only IMAX experience, is an hour-long film set to the music of Halsey’ forthcoming album. Premiering August 25th in the U.S. and August 26th internationally, “IF I CAN’T HAVE LOVE, I WANT POWER” continues to redefine creative boundaries.
“IF I CAN’T HAVE LOVE, I WANT POWER” follows Halsey’s 2020 album “Maniac”. This award-winning album debuted at No.1 on Billboard and was the first U.S. album to receive platinum in the U.S. that year. Though Halsey’s style has remained consistently unique throughout the years, it has also evolved beyond music into new mediums. Their first book, “I Would Leave Me If I Could: A Collection of Poetry”, debuted on The New York Times Best Seller list upon its release last November. While taking their lyrical strength to the next level, the musician and author also worked on their own artwork and gave birth amongst crafting the upcoming album.
“IF I CAN’T HAVE LOVE, GIVE ME POWER”, produced by Trent Reznor and Atticus Ross, is set to release August 27th. In addition to the imagining, songwriting, and recording of the album, Halsey is given writing credits for the entirety of the hour-long IMAX film. With all of the personal, creative, and professional work Halsey has put in within the last few years, the volume of artistic projects about to release is astounding.
